10 Biggest Website Mistakes
Did you know that Google owns You Tube?
This is valuable information because if Google owns You Tube they are going to give it massive amounts of credence in the search engines. If you don’t already have a You Tube Channel you need to set one up.

You Tube Videos Can Also Rank First On Google
Videos that play on your website that are logged into your Tube Channel get attention from Google and they assist your website to get found. Not only does your website get found a lot easier in Google search, the actual video itself can be found in the search engines. This is another way in which potential customers can find your business. Every little bit helps.
And of course if you add keywords to the description under your Video on You Tube, your video will get found when people are searching for your product or service in You Tube. And you can add your website address under the Video so that potential customers can click straight through to your website.
The very first Video we made and loaded to You Tube a couple of years ago has had over 14,000 views. It has been an awesome source of leads and has created a lot of interest in the website.
Playing Videos On Your Website Can Improve Your Google Ranking
Another reason to have Videos on your website is because people watch them. I know that sounds obvious but if your Video runs for 3 minutes and it is of interest to your potential customers they will stay on your site for at least 3 minutes to watch the video, rather than a quick 30 second look around.
Google gives a higher ranking to websites where people stay for longer periods of time. Were you aware that most visitors only stay for between 0-30 seconds. If you get them to watch a Video for 3 minutes then you are suddenly increasing the length of their visit. One of the ways Google determines if a site has quality content is by the length of time someone stays on the site.
If a site is rubbish and people click away as soon as they arrive, Google will deem this site to be either not relevant or have poor quality content.
Also, potential customers are more likely to look around after watching a Video. You have had an opportunity to personally connect with them and they then tend to want to know more.
But, just a little word of warning, don’t have unnecessarily long videos just to keep people on your site. It will just back-fire! People will get bored and leave. Keep your Videos to under 4 minutes and make them interesting.
So make sure you are using the power of You Tube and Video.
To harness that power to generate more leads for your business your task today is to brain storm a topic for a Video that would help your potential clients. The Video should be about solving one of your customer’s problems as well as showcasing your business. Brain storm what they would value and create a list of actions you need to take to get a Video onto You Tube and your website.
