The 10 Biggest Website Mistakes
In the previous Video we looked at creating a compelling offer. This leads me to the third mistake most websites make.
Remember I said it can take 7 – 10 contacts before you convert a lead into a paying customer.
I am sure you have heard you don’t ask a girl (or guy) to marry you on the first date. Converting customers is the same.
It takes time to build a relationship so they can start to trust you. It is only when they trust you that they will buy from you.
This is especially true with customers coming via a website. You could be any fly by night and be gone tomorrow.
So once you have their email address you need to talk to them… via email. You will need to send them their compelling offer and then send them a series of emails that build that relationship.
How Many Emails Should You Send
I recommend one email every day for 10 – 12 days and then move it back to one every 6 days for a couple of months and then one every 13 days for a couple of months. And finally one a month thereafter.
The reason I choose 6 instead of once a week is because each new email arrives on a different day of the week.
People have days that are incredibly busy and if you unknowingly are sending your emails on those days then they probably will never get opened. At least you have the opportunity to catch them on quiet day.
The best part is that you can automate this whole process using an Email Autoresponder System.
I use and recommend Aweber. The base version, which more than most of you will need costs $19 a month.
One of the reasons I recommend it is that their emails actually get delivered into people’s inboxes. Unlike a lot of other Email Marketing systems!

Fully Automated Email Systems
You only need to write these emails once and Aweber or Mail Chimp will automatically send them to each new sign up. These emails can consist of information, discounts, special offers anything that you think your potential customers will value.
As part of the automated emails you can have a sales process that runs through the system.
You can add links to your website that showcase products or services. You can send an email with a special on a particular service that you might be talking about in the email.
